Whitehouse.gov switches to Opensource

We're thinking ... 8 hour working day vs. Blackberry = 15 hours of extra work a week


One of the most visable websites in the world is now running on Opensource software. "We want to improve the tools used by thousands of people who come to WhiteHouse.gov to engage with White House officials, and each other, in meaningful ways" White House new media director Macon Phillips.

It's interesting to see more and more people are putting their faith in  OpenSource solutions ... and why not? Especially public organisations, they really should be looking to use OpenSource solutions.
